I have been married for almost 3 years. My husband and I have an 18 month old (who acts as though she is grown). I was born and raised right here in Phoenix, Arizona. Although I am a native, I am not a fan of the heat and am constantly thinking about moving to a cooler state.

I enjoy Disney and Marvel movies, and have used this to help connect with a lot of my middle school students.

Due to the nature of my extremely busy life, my favorite past time is napping.

I am EXTREMELY nervous/overwhelmed with having to take classes again. My master's program was online through Grand Canyon University. However, that was before I had the fun responsibility of being a wife and a mother. Although I am happy to finally take the necessary steps towards obtaining my certification, the thought of accomplishing this task along with having to work full time (with all that being an educator entails, i.e. lesson planning, grading, conferences, etc.) as well as taking care of my family does cause me to panic just a bit. I find that I am constantly reassuring myself with the quote I tell my students before we begin the day's work: How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.
