내면적 활동에 초점을 맞추고 있어 심리학에서는 메타인식으로 다루어지고 있다. 교육학적으로는 성찰을 듀이(Dewey, J.)의 ‘반성적 사고’로 설명하며, 합리성과 증거를 바탕으로 신념을 확립하려는 의식적이고 자발적인 행동을 의미한다.성찰은 기존의 인지구조에 바탕을 두고 새로운 경험이나 지식을 평가하고 해석함으로써 새로운 이해를 이끌어내는 과정이라고 말할 수
