One of the first opportunities came along to work for the NQCC (North Queensland Conservation Council) as Campaign Coordinator, an 8 hour a week paid position, that needless to say included many volunteer hours. During that time we successfully campaigned against the Florence Bay Resort (Magnetic Island) and the Yabulu Iron Ore Jetty and got the local Council on board to start trialling a recycling collection program. 

For the last nearly 9 years I have had the honour of managing an Aged Care Program on the Atherton Tablelands and prior to that sat on the Management Committee of a local community organisation for over 10 years.

I am a certified Yoga Teacher and Hypnotherapist who believes that as individuals and collectively we have the ability to shape the present and the future by thinking globally, doing no harm and acting and involving ourselves locally with others who hear the same call.

The values and mission of The Elder Tree speak to sharing wisdom and empowering people through knowledge, to take charge of their own health and wellbeing. I believe this is the way of the future - so here I am, doing what I can to support this dream to grow wings and fly."
