If they do not, they could face a fine of up to £500.
Already 7.34 million dogs are microchipped in the UK.

Check which microchips they use, as some might not be picked up by microchip scanners in the UK, which means if your pet is ever lost, anyone that finds your pet will struggle to find their microchip number.

Check which microchip database your pet’s microchip is registered to, and make sure you check with the database company that your details have been registered.
