Hawaii

A couple of friends and I decided to go on vacation to Hawaii for the week. I think our trip was worth it. We went to a lot of places, had a lot of fun and learned a few things. We went to two islands, first the Big island, and then Oahu, both were nice but I'd say we had a lot more fun in Oahu.

There weren't a lot of accommodations but in both islands there was this one establishment which had an amusing name, "Home 2" the name fits because the place was a comfortable little apartment. The apartment is spacious, the couch can fold into a futon and the bed is queen sized, so there's plenty of space for you and your friends or your family to sleep on. Other than that you get a usable kitchen with everything you'll need while staying there, and as a bonus breakfast served for free. The establishment is definitely designed so that you can stay comfortably for around 3-4 weeks.

As for attractions, they were amusing. In Big island there was a regular disney park, not much to say about it other than it's disneyland. Then there was a beach filled with hundred year old turtles, it was odd to say the least, you can sit on them as long as you're not too heavy. The place was a little crowded since this is one of the hot spots for tourists, there weren't that many though so it's ok, however there weren't a lot of things to do there. Most of the people i saw on Big island were tourists since there was a big active volcano here, so the island wasn't too populated. The volcano itself was also an attraction, it was cool but there wasn't much to do there.

On clear days you can see the other islands from Big island, they're not that far away but you do still need a boat to get there. One of those islands is Oahu which is another island we went to.

We only went to a couple places in Oahu but arguably they were more exciting, specifically the North beach, this was THE BEST place to surf, we didn't do anything dangerous but it was still a lot of fun, the place was crowded but i think most of them were natives since a lot of them surfed too. The other place we went to was Pearl harbor. My friends and I thought it was funny that this place was practically overrun with Japanese tourists. Learning about the history was intriguing but there wasn't much to do.

Regarding food, there aren't a lot of local establishments, it's mostly filled with regular corporate places like KFC or Subway so not much to say about those. There is however a local bakery i highly recommend, they have cakes, bread among other things and they are super duper delicious, again, i highly recommend it.

Overall I'd give my trip 3.5 stars. It was exciting and fun but for a lot of the attractions there wasn't much to do aside from looking at and hearing things about them. The lack of local food establishments was disappointing since a lot of the restaurants were just regular places you can see everywhere. Nothing to complain about for the accommodations, I recommend staying here if you want to go on vacation.

As a tourist, Grand Indonesia Mall has a decent area. They also have access to other malls that are easily accessible if my needs have not been met at the Grand Indonesia, though I doubt that will happen very often due to the very wide variations of facilities there. It’s strategically located in the middle of Jakarta. It provides a lot of eye entertainment and fulfills various needs, ranging from fashion, kids needs, sports, beauty & culinary. The items and facilities provided have a wide range of prices, but they are mostly reasonably priced and affordable. It’s a pretty great and strategic mall to go to. However, it's a bit difficult to find a parking spot in this mall, since it’s almost always crowded. There’s a valet service available, but it’s also a pretty long wait.

Overall, I feel at home visiting Grand Indonesia Mall!

Singapore

When I was in grade 2 in elementary school, I visited Singapore for the first time, I went there with my aunt, grandfather, grandmother, and parents. We went to several places there, and we felt very exciting. We went to sentosa islands and universal studio singapore. Both places are very interesting and good to visit.

There are so many accomodations for traveling in Singapore, for me, I often take a bus and Singapore mrt (SMRT) because it's faster and cheaper. To ride the Singapore mrt we have to buy at the machine and pay with Singapore dollars. For buses we can buy a card or pay with cash. For a taxi, I think it's quite expensive, especially if it's traffic and the place is so far. And the driver often drives too fast and makes me not very comfortable. At that time I stayed at a hotel on Orchard road, and the cost was quite expensive.

For the attractions, Universal studio Singapore has a lot of rides that can be ridden. Such as transformer ride 3d, battlestar galactica, and a revenge of a mummy. On the transformer ride you can feel transformers more real, the battlestar rollercoaster is quite scary to ride, revenge of a mummy is an indoor rollercoaster and when playing it is pitch black, this game is much scarier than the battle star rollercoaster.

About food, we can eat at McDonald's Vivo city, Vivo city is a fairly large mall. There is a restaurant that Jamie oliver founded and actually I really wanted to eat there but unfortunately it was expensive. Besides in Vivo city, you can eat next to the bus station, there is laksa Or maybe you can eat hotel food, and you can also buy instant noodle for 3 days.

Overall, I give this holiday rating 4.7

I have been a Bandung citizen for as long as my whole entire life. I could give a little bit of a tour and also recommended places for tourist to come through to my city.

Bandung has a lot of eye catching districts with different themes also a lots of cafes to visit.

Because Bandung is a city that surrounded with mountains there are a few spots to go camp to or to have a hiking trip.

Starting from "Bukit Moko"/"Gunung Putri" is a nice spot to camp or to visit. There you could view the whole entire Bandung from the east to the west point of Bandung (if the weather isn't cloudy).

Then you have the Lembang and upper Dago district that offers you a fresh air for you to relax and chill. There you might find a lot of places to stay. Starting from villas to homestays to book at and also there are a lot of forest parks to relax. Some of them that i know and recommend are "Taman Hutan Raya Ir. Haji Djuanda", Maribaya, Floating Market Lembang, "Dusun Bambu", De Ranch and many more.

If you're down to see old architectures of Bandung, you might wanna visit the Braga and Asia Africa district. There you might find a lot of cafes and old architectures of Bandung that the Dutch colonial left us. You might also find museums that were built decades ago and had been conserved by the governments for tourists and locals to visit. Most of the museums tells us the history of how Bandung were built or national heroes that fought for the independence of Indonesia.

Bandung also has a lot of shopping malls, few of the popular ones were Paris Van Java, 23 Paskal, Trans Studio Mall (formerly know as Bandung Super Mall). There you might find western products to buy.

If you're interested in local products to buy, you might wanna go to the Trunojoyo district. Most of the shops were well known by the locals and also locally made & found by the locals.

Although the crime rates at Bandung are pretty low but as a local in Bandung, Bandung is well known for the gangsters and bike gangs all throughout Bandung. You might wanna take precaution on who you were dealing with. Treat them with respect and they'll treat you with kindness.

There are also dark places in Bandung or clubs and such. If you're interested in visiting one of them, you could visit the Saritem street in Bandung. It's well known as the dark side of Bandung. You also need to take precautions in visiting there.

There are also parks in near the central part of Bandung city you might wanna visit such as Pet Park, Bandung City Hall Park and many more.

If you're into the full tourist experience you could catch the double decker bus (Bandros (Bandung Tour On Bus)). But unfortunately due to multiple of casualties happened, the upper deck of the Bandros is unable to be seated.

For as i know this is what Bandung can offer. There are still lots of places you might wanna come to. So for the full experience just come visit Bandung if you had the free time to :)!!

A few months ago, me and my family, are deciding to get ourselves a little break from our dailies. We went to Hokkaido Preference in Japan. In there, we spent approximately five days in an apartment hotel, namely APA Hotel, in the southern city of Sapporo, the heart of Hokkaido.

We went to Hokkaido by a direct plane from Sendai Airport, Miyagi Prefecture to the new Chitose Airport in Hokkaido Prefecture. Then, we went to the Sapporo station by train, whereas it's the only way to reach out from the airport. In the Sapporo station, we saw a lot of different accommodations, such us the city buses, trains, subways, and the most interesting one were trams. Unfortunately, we had to take none of them and use our legs to walk as the hotel was at somewhere of the biggest park in Hokkaido, Odori Park, which all of accommodations could not reach.

We arrived at our hotel in the late mid night. It was a lot of walking. Fortunately, the hotel’s room was great. First, it has our personal bathroom, shower, and even a bathtub in the room. Secondly, the bedroom fits with two piece of bunk beds with a cute, tiny, and little light source in the corner of every beds. Then, beside one of the bunk bed, there’s a small and convenience full set of kitchen which lend us to cook anything when it’s needed.

In Hokkaido, we had a lot of fun. The attraction on Sapporo City itself were already too much for us to spent out five days stay. For the first day, we’d gone to the Hokkaido University which open for tourism photo site in the winter season, as the snow building competition were held there. They have so many participants who built a very big and eye caching snow build. It was fantastic. Then, on the second day, we visited the Ohtaru City. It’s in some rural area in North Hokkaido which had a huge load of different type of markets. The most popular one is the music box shop. Many tourists I saw got in there to looks the boxes. Also, the most amazing is there’s a music box with sized the same as the room I entered, with around 4 meters cubic. The huge music box played every day in the afternoon, and luckily I was there when the show begun.

The third day, just one word to say, it’s raining. We hadn’t gone to anywhere, but at least we could have spent the day off the luxurious hotel room. Then, the bless came out for us. The last day for our Hokkaido trip was going to the Hokkaido University again to meet with a professor who is the teacher of my major I would take in the university. Me and the professor had had already made an appointment to meet in the day. I had so much talking to him. And I wish I could meet him again in the near future if I able to get in the Hokkaido University.

In the fifth day, the real last day for our stays in Hokkaido, we went to the most, and best, bakery in the Sapporo station according to many reviewers in the internet. Amazing enough, It was surely the BEST bakery in Sapporo. Even though there’s so many bakeries in Japan itself, I personally think that this specific bakery in Sapporo was one of the best in whole Japan. A must try at least once in life bakery.

At the end, we went to our home in Sendai City with the same direct flight we took before. Thankfully, we landed safely and we were very tired back there.

Overall, I would give my trip 10/10 scores. It was very fun and interesting trip. There’s so much happening in Hokkaido and everything was like, perfect and amazing. Though, there was a day off when it’s rained. But as a wise man said, we should take advantage and utilize everything the world gave to us. Actually, I’d be thankful to the rain so we had a warm family time in the hotel together. I really recommend anyone who wants to have a laid back trip in Hokkaido with the fancy hotel room in APA Hotel. It’s 100% approved stays and trip from me.

Apparently im thinking the best place I've traveled is Singapore. It's really really gaining my experience, even though it still on Southeast Asia. I'm amazed to be there because the city was modest and got nice environmental too. Based on my experience, there's something different, between Singapore weather and Indonesia weather? I don't know but the air quality there was kinda clean and heatless. I've walked from my Auntie's
Apartment to the mall, and I don't felt my sweat yet. So im guessing Singapore is a great place to visit if u love a nice weather with a splash of modern city in it.
