The new teacher is like a spider because she spins a web of lies, and once you get trapped in the web, you can't get out. You are unable to see the web, so you don't know what you are getting into when you pass by. The new teacher is very sly, and she seems like she would do no harm, but really, she could poison anyone in her way. She makes the kids forget what they want to do with there life. She takes away there religion and now that the kids started to listen to her, it will never end.

Johnny is like a quail. He runs away from anything new or dangerous, that is trying to get to him. The quail does this when running from a predator. He also sticks to what his family and father tells him, like the quail always sticks with a certain group. But eventually, he can be caught.

Emily W- The New Teacher is like a lacrosse stick because she has to constantly cradle the ball, representing the children, to keep it in her net. She takes them down the field, cradling the entire way, until she eventually hurtles them into the goal. The goal could also represent the world, after the New Teacher has taught them "the right way" to do things. The goalie in the goal can also be like the betrayed parents, and those who do not want to be taken over.

The New Teacher is like a black widow. A spider hides her web disguised. Oblivious to the web her prey gets caught and tangled; the spider devours her dinner. The teacher does a similar thing to the children. She appears sweet, young, and kind, but once they begin to trust her she kills their belief just like a spider killing her prey.
