They both talk about how cruel and how horrible they are being treated and how you might not see a person ever again this can be seen when The not my business poem says "And dragged Danladi out" this shows that the people have captured a person this shows that it is very cruel. In the vultures says "waiting at home for Daddy's return..." This shows that the father has gone out and has been forced to work for the camp and is being poorly while the children and women were left at the camp.

However their differences are just mostly physicality,  the poem "Vultures" is set most likely somewhere in Europe and "Not my business" most likely set in Africa. However, the tone of the writer in "Not my business" is that he had no awareness and concern for his surroundings. Another difference is that "Vultures" is written in the perspective of the Soldier, and "Not my business" written in the perspective of the victim. This implies how human can link with nature because although Vulture seem cruel, but they have a kind side but they needed to be brave when needed to protect themselves/family. Vultures did not apply metaphor, the whole poem was about the vulture, but only using it to compare to the world. Both poems have many similarities and differences, for instance one of the similarities are that both of the poems talk about violence.  I get this idea when the phrase " Ate the things out  of its bowel" and the phrase "Beat him up like soft clay" is mentioned.  A difference in the poems are that in the poem not my business, the man didn't have anyone for him because he wasn't there for anyone. I get this idea when the phrase "A knock on the door froze my hand". Finally another similarity they have is that in both poems, the people  get treated in a bad way and there is a lot of people are getting mistreated, This is evidenced by the phrase "They beat him up like soft clay." And the phrase, "a cruel heart or else despair." This is proven in the line "Pick up a chocolate for his tender offspring". Vulture presents there is still kindness in an evil person and that no one can be completely evil. whereas, Not my business presents that if it isn't about them they don't care about anyone around them even when there is inequality and so in the end no one speaks up for them. In Vultures the solder on his way home gose to buy chocolate for his ' tender offspring ' not felling bad that he has just killed many people.  In Not My Business he don't care that people he know are being taken away all he cares about if he stills has his yam to eat. So when they come to get him he has no one to help him. Chinua Achebe argues that even the most evil peoples still do have a heart. In contrast , Niyi Osundare insisted that even non- participates can be responsible for the sins that have been done. In the vultures they talk about how debatable the commandant could be. While 'In Not my business' they suggest that it doesn't matter and it can be something which we don't need to care about. The commander in vultures have a good and a bad side to him. The speaker in 'Not my business' says "What business of mine is it", this shows that the author had given up on whatever happen since people are being cruel to each other. Achebe shows the good side of the commander by saying "pick up a chocolate for his tender offspring" he wants us to think that everybody has a good side and to be grateful that not everybody may be completely evil and uses 'vulture' to describe it metaphorically.
Osundare wants us to see that everybody could change anything whether it may be good or bad and that we can be responsible for any small action that we do. The biggest differences is that in the poem Vultures, talks about being in a concentration camp, while in Not My Business tells us about being trapped whereas not taken away to the camp yet.

In Vultures, third stanza, the Commandant will "pick up a chocolate for his tender offspring." This suggests how after a long day at work torturing and killing people, the Commandant goes home to bring a treat for their child. However, in Not My Business, the speaker says "What business of mine is it?" After every stanza to blatantly imply of not caring as long as it isn't the bad things that happen to them. An example of similarities between the poem is being watched. This is shown in Vultures where it says, "Perching high on broken bones of a dead tree..." The poet wants us to know the idea of being in a concentration camp where you are constantly watched. In Not My Business, the last sentence describes the way the jeep was waiting to take away the speaker without a hassle.
