En este sentido, vemos que son dos caras de una moneda, por un lado, los mercados exigen un standard de calidad para determinados productos, por lo que muchos productos nunca llegarán a las góndolas. 
De igual manera, deficiencias en el transporte, almacenamiento y procesos productivos llevan a desperdicios.
