Understanding history can give you tools to be successful in the future... such as understanding what works and what doesn't in certain situations, political ideas and platforms, and a basis for innovation.

An important technology for teaching history is interactive software. If the students become engaged with the topic, then they are more likely to learn it and retain it for later. Interactive software can also make the learning process more fun and involve many different styles and media to appeal to all types of learners. It can also help with pacing, so students can focus more on what needs to be learned instead of their peers.
