Her mother giving up her Native American side to fit in is sad, not just for the mother but also for the girl to not have an environment that was as accepting of her as a Native American one :(.</div>]]></description>

If you're privileged and passive, you're still part of the problem because you remain a beneficiary of an oppressive system."<br><br>This footnote reminded me of all those people and celebrities with the platform to say something about any type of oppression or racist acts. I think there are so many people with a massive amount of supporters who would share what they say and yet they're silent. At the end of the day, as the quote says, they would benefit at the end of the day. When it came to the BLM movement, the majority of the celebrities that showed active support were people of color. Those who didn't go to protests for the photos. </div>]]></description>

It's appalling that a grown woman told her daughter that her friend only got in because she's black. She's the reason that racism gets passed on through generations and why inequalities and prejudice continue to spread. </div>]]></description>
