For example, Columbus took natives for slaves and Henry wanted to map the coast of Africa just to stop the spread of the Muslim kingdoms. And because of other things like new trade routes, and explorers wanting fame, money, and spices, the Natives suffered things like being killed, getting infected with new diseases, and some people were enslaved. Not really, because if he did he would've taken a much better approach and interacted in a much nicer way with the Aztecs. But then again they had no choice because all of their ships were burned. He still did a lot of horrible things to the Aztecs.

The French and English were similar to the Spanish in various ways. For example the English seemed to be trying to convert them to Christianity like the Spanish with the Aztecs, an illness also spread in both instances, however the English were much more friendly with the natives. Hernan Cortes is a great example. He and his men went to Cuba, where they found an Aztec civilization. He would slaughter the Aztecs for gold and also because the Aztecs would refuse to convert to Christianity. He also captured the king of Aztecs, Montezuma, and made a ransom of a lot of gold and other valuable things. Christopher Columbus did find America, but he took natives as slaves. And Henry the Navigator mapped the coast of Africa, but he wanted to stop the spread of Muslim Kingdoms. So a lot of messed up things happened in the process of exploring and conquering the "New World"(s). The English also attempted to convert the natives to Christianity, but they took a much peaceful approach. Another major problem with some of these explorations is the spread of new diseases that some of those people do not have a good enough immunity to, which caused a lot of people to die. It could've been that the indigenous people got infected or that the explorers got infected, either way it's really bad. For example, the Spanish spread Small Pox to the Aztecs. And since they had never seen it, they had no medicine so there was no way to be cured. Obviously that would've been the Spanish's fault, since they brought it from Spain. And with the English, when they got to America, the English got infected with a disease called Scurvy, which was most likely spread from the Natives to the English. Which at this point, the Natives don't take the blame because they were already there.
