I think that your presentation is an easy read, and that is a good thing. I do think that you could have posited a question to the reader at the end.

Takeaways:
1. You have reinforced my understanding of Least Restrictive Environment.
2.I'm thinking that I should have posted a works cited page with my padlet presentation.

I will wonder how much money is spent in a given school budget to ensure that students with special needs are receiving a FAPE in the LRE.

Overall quality: Easy to read and straight to-the-point format.

Two takeaways: 1) Just because a student benefits from special education services, does not mean that they cannot still maintain friendships with same age peers and achieve learning the same material as mainstream peers. 2) There are many learning environment options to consider, but it is best to consider the environment that is the least restrictive, while still meeting the student’s needs. I am guessing that in some instances this may require some trial and error.

One wonder: Differentiated instruction was a big educational buzzword in the past. It seems as though there is a constant evolution in this area. I wonder if there will be more effective tools/assessments to help determine placement in the future.

Dan, good presentation. Brief and to the point.

1) My presentation was also on LRE within school settings. An important section that you touched on is how students are being accommodated within the classroom setting. Many of times, students need aide assistance within the classroom setting or modifications to the classroom setting to ensure that it is the least restrictive environment

2) One of the more prevalent issues with LRE is placement. Parents might want to place their child within the setting they think is best for their child's individual learning. However, the school can argue against the parents wishes by depicting evidence or data that proves the best fit for placement. This is an issue that can cause much stress and tension between the two parties.

I wonder, if there is any way to educate parents with LRE guidelines and how data is presented/provided surrounding proper LRE placement during IEP meeting

Your presentation was easy to read and straight to the point.

I did my presentation on Inclusion which is similar to to LRE so it was nice that you mentioned the asistive technologies and the assistants in your presentation.

2) I would use your presentation with families who has a hard time understanding the laws. This was straight to the point and i think easy for many people to understand the concepts and ask questions.

LRE is very important and i truly feel that families are not aware of the importance of LRE. Most parents have a hard time understanding it which makes it difficult for them to advocate for their child's. Somet
imes keeping the law easy and address multiple people.

Dan this was a great, easy to read presentation. I really liked it.

Takeaways:
A few great points to take away was having a better understand on how the impact for a student with LRE, needs to allow for accommodations, or support by an aide it extremely important.

Family involvement is important, if the parents are not able to articulate what is best for their children.
One Wonder: Consider UDL in a classroom!

Overall Quality:
I liked that your presentation was straight to the point and well orgainzed.

Takeaways:
1.) Ihink that you make great points that just because a student might benfit. The LRE insures that a student who has a disability should have the opportunity to be educated with non-disabled peers, to the greatest extent appropriate. I think edcautors should provide that oppporunity as much as possible.
2.) I would like this information as others as said to show to parents because of the language and straight forward of the infomation.
One Wonder:
I wounder how we can involove parents more in the process of the LRE
