My grandma at this age was allowed to pick out her own clothes and get dressed at the age three, with some assistance here and there. This allowed her to gain that independance skills. She resolved this stage with autonomy. In the text it states " Erikson’s second stage in psychosocial development, in which children achieve a balance between self-determination and control by others"(Martorell, p. 156).
