The story takes place in Montargis France which is the capital, it is in the summer and the time period is during the medieval times.

2.What does the setting look like, sound, like, feel like etc? 
shining green grass across the fields, all nature full of glory on a summer day.

3.What are some similarities and differences to today's time period or America? 
The names some of the characters have are very interesting like Aubrey de montdidier. Also, the way that they speak seems like a very fancy way and I don't know it's because they are royal or the time period. 1. I was very surprised that prince Aubrey de Montdider didn't show up to the events. I think something happened to him because it is very unlikely that such a famous and admired man would miss an event that thousands of people would be at, even when everyone has been waiting for it.

2. I think it is very brave of DeNarsac to play in the events. He has no experience doing jousting or anything else but he was doing it anyway for Montdider.  

3. I can not believe that the prince was murdered. everyone at the event started wondering where he could be and some people said he was dead but they didn't believe them. 1.  I am so nervous to see if DeNarsac and Thierry actually find Montidider's body under ground. I can tell DeNarsac was stressed when he was riding back to the kingdom to get supplies because it said in the text that he thought he was in a nightmare and was splashing water in his face.  



2. Dragon, Montdider's dog seems like a very intelligent and caring dog. He lead DeNarsac and Theirry right to where Montdider's body was found. In the text it said how Dragon was very eager to lead them to something and he did which is very impressive. 



3. Now that they have found the body of prince Aubrey they are going to have to do some serious investigating because of how well the murderer covered there tracks. 1. I think that it is very creepy that once they found Montidider's body it started to thunder and rain. The text referenced it as even mother nature is sad and in shock like all of France. It shows how much he meant to all of France.

2. I can not believe how much this death is affecting France. It is like the great depression in France over Montidider's death. The text is saying how everyone is always silent and sad. Also how no one wants to do anything. 

3. Dragon the dog is smarter than I thought. He just found some clues that can lead to finding the murderer of Prince Montdider. 1. I was surprised that so many people are worried for each other because they think they can get hurt too. I thought that they would just spend time trying to figure out how Montidider was murdered. I didn't even realize how the murderer could be out for others too. 


2. I think that Dragon will be the perfect dog to help find the murderer of Montidider. In the text it states " Dragon's quick intelligence, his obedience, his lively sense of play. The dog instinctively knew what what expected of him." This shows how dragon has all the qualities for this job.


3. I think that DeNarsac and Thierry are handling and running this situation very well. How would you describe him/her?
The main character is Dragon the dog of Aubrey de Montidider. Dragon is brave, smart, and strong. He helps a lot throughout the story.
2. Who are some secondary characters and why are they important to the story?
DeNarsac and Montidider are also important because the dog's owner is Montidider who dies, and DeNarsac is his cousin who takes over and leads the search for solving the mystery.
3. What is the problem or conflict of the book?
The problem is that the famous knight Aubrey de Montidider has been murdered.
4. How is the main character trying to resolve the problem?
Dragon is helping DeNarsac and Theirry find clues to who murdered Aubrey.
5. What do you like so far about the book? AND WHY.
I like how suspenseful the story is and how it is always keeping you on the edge of your seat.
