The logo that I chose represents the Roots of Change Community Centre. Roots of Change Community Centre is a registered, non-profit organization that was created to fill the needs of a growing Muslim community in North Toronto, Ontario. They gather funds to realize this dream of having: A multi-purpose facility including a Quran Center, a place where children will learn their language & get in touch with their culture. Finally, it is also a place for the community to get to know each other and celebrate events.
The MASS represents my family: M= Mamode(dad), A= Aminah(mom), S= Saadiah(sis) and S= Shifa(me). The number 4 is us because we are four as a family.

With this whole pandemic going on, a lot of people may have been feeling anxious or may experience an overwhelming feeling of loneliness. This plate will hopefully remind other drivers that it's ok to welcome emotions when they come. As long as they don't completely absorb you and you keep your head up while fighting. Now of days, people would rather bottle up emotion than to tell a loved one and seek help. This is toxic and will only make things worse. The story is based on the on going love Gatsby has for a married women Daisy, who is Nick Carryaway's (the narrator) distant cousin. Throughout the whole story he wishes to fufill and recreate the love they shared in the past and live the American dream. The only way to do this, is to get Daisy to break up with her husband, which causes conflict later in the story. I thought that this was a funny and blunt way to wrap up the story. I really like this book because it still relevant today because The story, set in a dystopian version of our not-so-distant future, underscores the importance of granting all people in society equal access to economic freedom and other human rights. In The Handmaid's Tale, the world is suffering from multiple crises. so i decided to change the title to "Freedom like everything else is relative" because in the book they talk about different type of freedom and equality. I wouldn't buy this book if saw it because of the title.

I took the grace of the title away, and replaced it with one that is the opposite. I also purposefully used a font that looks pretty, but is hard to read, in order to give young readers even more difficulty!  Furthermore, by calling Cinderella's slipper a shoe, I removed the angelical attribute that is associated with it.  There is a huge disconnect between the title and and the front cover now.  Therefore, I don't think it would sell nearly as many copies, because it just doesn't seem to flow.]]> 2020-07-10 18:52:35 UTC https://padlet.com/Lynn2022/eli65iurjee8db0m/wish/651974099 Shifa https://padlet.com/Lynn2022/eli65iurjee8db0m/wish/652692305 The book I chose to change its title and cover is called To All the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han. I know this is not a classic novel but it is one of my favourite books and I had to do it. I am pretty sure that you guys know this book or the movie because it is very famous. But I think I should tell you guys anyway. So Lara Jean Song Covey is a sixteen-year-old half-Korean, half-white girl living in Virginia. She is extremely close to her older sister Margot and younger sister Kitty. Lara Jean keeps love letters to all the boys she has ever loved in a teal hatbox given to her by her late mother who died by a head injury when Lara Jean was just 9. One day, Peter Kavinsky, one of the guys Lara Jean wrote a letter to, approaches her and tells her he does not have any sort of attraction to her. Lara Jean is confused but realizes that he is referring to a letter she wrote him years ago after he received it in the mail. Horrified, she tells him she wrote it a long time ago. When she arrives home she can't find her teal hatbox. I am not going to say anything after this because it is up for you guys to find out.
