I connected with poem 4 because even when people try  bring me down i rise and rise just like the slave in the poem and i also understood how she felt.Also another  why  i connect with this is because my ancestors in sudan were forced to leave africa to come to america  to work,be abused,and treated like a pet just like the girl because all slaves came from africa forced to work.
