Now wearing a mask and keeping distance with others is becoming part of our routine and probably this is going to change the way we used to live forever.

According to the textbook, one of the causes of social change are medical advances or discovering new things about human health that are affecting the population (Macionis. pg.489). COVID 19 is a virus that changes the way we used to go outside and even going to the supermarket is a different experience since now you have to follow cleanliness customs or rules.

HIDE. FIGHT. This video is an example of how people tend to act when their lives are at risk and people try to stay with others to feel protected. 

According to the textbook, one type of collective behavior is the crowd which is a temporary gathering of people who share a common focus of attention and who influence one another (Macionis. pg. 490). For example; during a school shooting most of the students don't know what to do in these types of situations so if they see people running they will probably run in the same direction.

I pick a meme in this part because this is an example of how each generation tend to worry for different things. For example; the meme shows how Boomers generations people around the age 56-76 and generation Z are around the age 5-25. Since Boomers are older people they don't usually worry about the consequences of climate change like generation z since they are going to live longer and they are going through the consequences of climate change.

People of color have been fighting for justice, equity and equality for a long time even today people have suffered from discrimination because of the color of their skin. The reason I chose this video that shows some of the protests about Black Lives Matter is to show that even now in the 2020 when people think discrimination doesn't exist today this stories, experiences and protests show that discrimination and inequality still exits today.

According to the textbook, modern people look to the future expecting their lives to improve in significant ways (Maicionis, pg.535). Now discrimination is something that needs to stop.

If we compare rich countries with poor countries we can conclude that countries that invest more money in education and technological advances tend to be more rich. I pick this article because explains how technology could help poor countries, for example internet and computers gave people the opportunity to have access to information and learn more.
