Breaking the bride's cake, a tradition inherited from the Romans, takes place on the wedding day and takes place at the bride's home, when the bridegroom comes along with other guests. What does this habit mean? The bride must sit on a chair, and the mother in law will break the cake over her head. She will make three crosses before, then break the cake in four pieces. They will be served first to the bride, then to the other guests. Also, according to tradition, before this custom, the bride's holy place takes place, but depending on the area, the hora dance can be organized afterwards. This is believed to be good luck, prosperity and the same will happen to those who eat from that cake.
