yoongi grew up in the slums of daegu where the only way you lived was if you clawed and fought for it. at the young age of seven, he and his older brother were abandoned by their parents and forced to fend for themselves. at this time, his brother, just fourteen at the time, dropped out of school in order to begin work.

growing up, yoongi learned the importance of hard work and perseverance from his brother and saw him more as a father than anything. he attended high school and finished a year ahead of his peers due to his intellect. despite his smarts, he sometimes ended up with the wrong crowd of people. for a short while, he was in a gang who called them themselves <>HIDDEN CONTENT<> . it was there he discovered his love for music and dance.

he left his home to pursue his dreams at the age of nineteen, putting university on hold. his brother didn’t agree with his decision personally but stood by him regardless, something that yoongi was always grateful for.

only a select few know him as AgustD and his career as an underground musician.. he does his best to keep the two worlds separate but doesn’t succeed much. this “job” is the one that rakes in the most money though it’s not as steady. the money is just one of the perks he receives and not the reason why he performs.

often seen as a cold person, most are afraid to approach him in any setting besides his job at the café. what people don’t know about him is that he’s a self proclaimed comedian, cracking lame jokes to those he feels confident and comfortable around. he can be warm and friendly around those people with ease.
