My most meaningful mirror moment was the love Malala has for her two younger siblings even though they drive her crazy (Yousafzai 299), this is a mirror moment for me because even though my brother drives me crazy and even though we say we hate each other, i still have so much love for him. My most meaningful window moment was the fact that the Taliban are coming after and trying to 🤬 her and her family (Yousafzai 233-235), i cant relate to this at all, i don't have anyone trying to 🤬 me or my family.

A mirror moment I had was when Malala was out of the hospital and she had to adapt to Western culture now that her family lived in Great Britain (299).

My biggest mirror moment was when Malala starts appearing more and more in the media to talk about her passion for female education rights (Yousafzai 159). This was a mirror for me since I have been passionate towards women's rights since as long as I can remember and I've always seen Malala as a role model so I started speaking on it too. I even did a speech over it one time in second grade so that's where the mirror moment especially comes. The more important window moment I saw was when Malala observes life in England and really thinks about the differences between there and Pakistan, but especially swat (Yousfzai 308). This was a window for me since she was comparing how much better it was than her old country in terms of women's rights and I feel like even we still go through that in different parts of the US even if not as severe.

My biggest window moment in the book was on page 246 learning all about Malala's culture. This is a widow for me because the culture here is not similar to Malala's at all, it was very interesting to learn about a culture so different from ours. The biggest mirror in the book was on page 307 when Malala moves schools. This is a mirror for me because last year I came to a new school since I am in the e-Comm program at Northwest.

I think the biggest window moment comes from pages 65-67. In this part, Malala discusses how marriage and women are viewed in her country. As children, little girls pretend to get married and cry. They are told to be nice so that their husband and in-laws will treat them well. She also tells how women are treated badly and blamed for things in their marriage that they aren't responsible for. This is a big disconnect because it gives us insight into how Malala's country is different. She also experiences this when talking about the treatment of women in Afghanistan.
My biggest mirror moment comes from page 242, when Malala is shot. She is an inspirational figure because of how she stands up for herself and other women and sticks to her beliefs in times of hardships. That is a trait that I find very admirable.

This complete disregard of women's rights is not seen in our culture and shocked me when I read about it.
My most significant mirror moment was when Malala talked about how you have to put forth effort at all times to succeed (Yousafzai 79).
