After watching the movie “Gandhi” (1982), starring Ben Kingsley, and extensively researching him for a school project, I have come to know his life on a deeper level. As I grow to understand him more, I am more inspired by his compassion and strength. 
When I set my sights on becoming a lawyer, the first person in my immediate thoughts was Mohandas Gandhi.

My grandfather enjoys teaching me about the history of the world, and considering that Gandhi was a pivotal point in history, I have learned much about him from my grandfather, whom I called Pa. I had previously written about these familial connections.
