2. Allow your student to write a story that uses certain words that you have picked out. This will help the student build his/her vocabulary.
3. Have your student explore different types of technology that is available on the internet. See if he/she can create a video game simulator or movie to a historical event of their choosing. 
4. Have your student shadow someone and put together a virtual report of what he/she witnessed during the shadowing process.
5. Let your student use a camera to document the disassembly of on old VCR. Then ask the student to put the VCR back together again while keeping notes. Have the student then write out the instruction for a technical writing assignment.
