* My Parents have always been their emotionally not as much Physically since my mother had to work 2 jobs but the time that she did have she supported me.
* My parents taking me to the park playing with me talking to me and just hearing my outrages stories of me wanting to be a mermaid. 
* As a teacher and a parent I want my students to feel secure and wanted as much as I have.
* As far back as I remember my parents were always busy but they took time to spend with me and my sisters.
ECONOMIC SUPPORT
* I feel we lived a good life not rich or poor but did good with what we had some days I remember not getting that snack or ice cream and ask why "tienemos que quardar el dinero" (we have to save our money)
* My parents did a great job of balancing out what we need and what we want. I remember always having a Birthday either a Trip or just a cake with food and Family. and I want to keep that going for my own children hopefully.

* I feel that I was socialized by various people in my life the first influence in social aspects is my teachers then my first in around pre k. and continue on.
VALUES and BELIEFS
* My values are my family and friends and to do what you what done as what to do to others, "The Golden Rule".
* My beliefs are that everyone has good and bad in them and that they make that choice to be good or bad by the people around us help us. 
* My GrandFather growing up he made my values known when I was 13 years old I visited him in Mexico over the summer and he told me stories that summer and he told me his childhood stories growing up it really made me think about what I want in life.
*My beliefs are influenced by my big cousin who helped me understand that the world has many good and bad I was around 20 when he explained to me he was a hispanic gay man and that the world would forever be different to him and at him. that being said people make those choices to do good or bad.
ETHNIC AND CULTURAL IDENTITY
My cultural is very important to me it is up their with Values and Belief. My culture is part of me as well as it is me and also part of my children. I don't want them to lose sight of that.
I have felt discrimination in parts of my life but the one that sticks out is my own relative from Mexico. I remember a cousin that I hardly played with one day I went over there house and I spoke broken Spanish and her and her friends made fun of me. Me having values didn't say anything to respect their home and my parents and aunt, being an adolescence teenager made me feel embarrassed  and angry with them and I never want that experience for my own children or students.

My family encourage me to seek out to learn more and seek out answers and questions and I encourage that to my children and students as well. My mother is a huge supporter in my education since I was a little girl in school. She encourage me to educate myself for my children. I would think education holds a strong 8 in a big way that 9 is working hard and 10 is family. For my mother it was not easy to share that I want to be a preschool teacher because she thought all thosse years of school should be used for a quote " un mejor trabajo  que paga bien" meaning a better paying job. but in time she saw that their was a need for teachers and the involvement to teach was well deserved in the importance of young children. I think my community being located in Los Angeles did support my education as that they had spanish translator for parent teacher meetings and celebrations.
PERSONAL OR FAMILIAL CHALLENGES
A challenge my family faced was when my grandfather died and how everyone placed their lives on hold to attend the funeral his life lesson was what our family values and believes. As a teacher I feel that when families come to me and discuss heart ache of a lost family or just struggles I like to hear them out. I try to offer support the best I can.

Overall my values and beliefs are that family comes first and to remember everyone has good and bad in them and its up to them to choice what they want to do.
