2018 Transitions Piece//Film with Digital touch ups

For this Transitions piece, I wanted to communicate not only the change in seasons, but also the relationship between man and earth. Originally, this photo shoot was meant to demonstrate decay, but also body and earth becoming one. However, since the piece seems to emphasize beauty more than death, this piece also elicits the change in seasons and the transition into Spring- a new, fruitful beginning.

This storyboard was created with the intent of showing the immediate events after a kidnapping. The high contrast of the pictures also emphasize the intensity of the situation, and suggest how a victim would only see life in black and white. As the storyboard progresses, so do the power of the photos as the fear of the situation sets in for the victim.

When researching things that burst at the seems, I became very intrigued by the line work in ripped jeans. I took the influence from that and let it inspire me to face distortion that would indicate not everything is how it seems, and you can't judge without seeing the whole picture.

In this piece, my intent was to communicate the struggles that come with living up to extreme social norms. On the left, my model is a put together, confident woman. On the right, we see her in a much more chaotic state, something a classy woman would never let the public eye see. The double exposure of the two images supports the fact that these two drastically different personas can actually make up one identity.

This silhouette with my fingerprints reveals the foundations of my being and the inability to see my face emphasizes my identity is more than just physical appearance. The uniqueness to this piece is that everyone has different finger prints in the same way that everyone has a different identity.

For this Curiosity piece, I wanted to take it back to the beginning of time to Adam and Eve. Who was more curious than them? Literally nothing had been discovered yet, so all they could do was wonder about the possibilities. One of the biggest acts of curiosity was when they picked the fruit from the tree, despite God telling them not. This piece communicates that all of mankind is curious and Adam and Eve aren't the only ones to blame.
