Thoughts: Even though I don't have a lot of connections to the book, I feel like this book is really telling of a certain culture. It opens eyes to the culture of the Jewish in World War 2 and the struggles they went through.

Personal/academic values: This book shows a lot about history as well as values of personal life. It talks about the unjust nature that that was happening in Poland and how that was effective people.

Short description: In my visual representation I show the image of the little girl and how she would be feeling in the situation. I show the symbols of the food, money, and the cats to tell about how they effect the situation. I also showed a visual of hunger in the young girl.

Effectiveness: The visual representation activity gives student a good way to draw out what they heard. It gives them the chance to relate to this book as well as pull out main ideas and details that were important to the story.
