This has proven beneficial to me because it allowed me to really think carefully about how to piece my words together. It was nice working in partners, my partner did a really good job in her part of the project as well. I do think that this unit was pretty hard to learn though. Only because there is some factors that come in that allows you to choose whether it is imperfect or preterit. Although i'm learning to get the hang of it. Also allowing students to work on online resources makes doing assignments much more accessible and easier to complete it also allows students to pace themselves in what and how they work. Even though I speak the language at home i still learned new vocabulary and sentences that i was never taught when i was younger. I prefer learning about the imperfect then the preterit. The preterite was difficult for me to understand. The imperfect was an easy tense to learn because there are only 3 irregular verbs. I believe that this unit has allowed me to grow not only as a Spanish speaker, but as a person who must learn to adapt in the world. I had to adapt to the growing knowledge of Spanish and try and incorporate this diverse language into my everyday learning. The vocab wasn't as tricky as the tenses because all it needed was memorization but with the tenses I had to work harder. To sum it up, I would give this a 7/10 in difficulty but a 10/10 in fun. The preterite form was particularly difficult for me because of the lack of pattern between the conjugations and many other exceptions. The imperfect tense was much easier for me. As for the projects, I do prefer working alone compared to group work, thus I enjoyed the childhood project more (I had fun picking out the cute pictures). I had the opportunity to really make something my own, with the help of Nadia. I loved being able to work with a partner because we can combine our ideas and really collaborate and make our assignment great. Although my spanish isn't so good, i appreciated having the freedom that we did for this project. I've been, and am going to continue trying my hardest to learn and stay prepared for spanish. My spanish writing skills aren't as good as my english writing skills, but i liked having the chance to work on them. This unit was definitely something i can learn from to better my spanish in the future. Doing this assignment online makes it so much easier to get things done and get all the points i want to make across to all of the readers and viewers.
