         <description><![CDATA[<p>Point of Contact:</p><p><br/></p><p>Survey and checklist at the end of “Just Accepted ,Now What”</p><p>_____________________</p><p>This POC will collect feedback from my target audience of incoming international students at the end of the section through a quick survey and checklist that they are on track with what to do next.</p><p><br/></p><p>This POC will help support transfer of learning by highlighting key points that must be addressed when just accepted (i.e. getting a visa) and will give feedback as to to whether or not this section was helpful (and useful) or unnecessary.</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>I will know when transfer of feedback and recommended tasks has occurred when students submit their answers and have completed their checklist of key points in this section.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Point of Contact:</p><p><br></p><p>Quick Facts about YorkU interactive flip cards</p><p>__________________________</p><p>This POC will inspire the target audience of incoming international students with positive facts about Yorku SCS. The inspiring facts promote confidence that they have made a good choice in Yorku and gives them a sense of how positive their future can be with York’s Careers services, approach to learning (applied learning), excellent facilitators and having their program housed in a new state of the art building, etc. This interactive flip-card activity, is fun and encourages the learners to keep learning more about Yorku SCS. Seeing other culturally diverse students in the flip-cards allows them to see themselves fitting in as a learner at York.</p><p>It sustains their engagement by knowing that they too will not only have a positive experience in their studies but also that York will support them with their careers choices. &nbsp;</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Point of Contact:</p><p><br></p><p>In the Welcome section of our e-learning module, it opens with a video of York SCS Director, Michelle Aarons welcoming international students to YorkU and congratulating students on their acceptance</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>It will draw them into the learning by feeling welcomed by YorkU Director and by increasing their confidence that they’ve made the right decision coming to York and Canada. A warm welcome by the YorkU Director makes the students feel inspired to be studying at Yorku SCS  and invokes positive feelings towards YorkU  and in their chosen program.</p><p>It will also stimulate their curiosity with engaging information about what they are about to embark on and enhances their feelings and beliefs that they have made a good personal and professional decision to study at YorkU.&nbsp;</p>]]></description>
