I like that the book does does not have to be purchased for updated editions.

I like the ELD scaffolds

I like the fact that we have an expert for the text in the local district

I like that most schools in the local district according to the cadre use this one

I like the daily blasts

I prefer their annotation features

I got the opportunity to look at the materials courtesy Ms. Theo. In my opinion, I think both texts are good, but I believe My Perspectives has an edge because of the inclusion of the following:

Performance task

Grouping -related materials

The vocabulary analysis

Summary& Quickwrite

Unit goals at a glance

I only had about 20 minutes to look them both over though. That's my two cents.

I like that there is a variety of texts (classical and current).

I like that there are checklists for student reference.

I like the skill based questions and that there are writing prompts at end of lessons.

I like that there are student scaffolds that target low readers such as:

Graphic organizers

Sentence frames

Annotating features are better

Videos to peak interests

I like that there is an expert to guide us.
