My name is Xavier, I’m 16 years old and I have light brown hair, which is in a buzz cut right now. Also, my eyes are blue. I think I look pretty fun and colorful, just like the way I dress. However, I can pull some more goth or edgy looks out my sleeve when it’s the vibe. 

 

Soon, my fourth year of high school will be over. I’m really looking forward to summer break, when I’ll have time to do everything I want to do. For example, I’ll be able to continue reading, even though I don’t look like the biggest reader. My other plans are quite out there, because I want to customize more clothes and let my creative juices flow, but on fabric. It’s a great activity for me, even though I’m lazy and hate cleaning afterwards. I can’t wait to have all the time I want to pick what to wear and finally be able to show off my funky clothes. 

Christophe has short black hair. He wears round and brown glasses on a daily basis. Through those, we can see his pierce green eyes. My friend is tall and athletic. Without the Marcelle-Mallet uniform he always has a skater style. Based on the appearance, people could think Christophe is a bum because of his skater style. But others could think he is a nerd because of his glasses and his uniform at school. What if I told you that my friend Christophe is none of that? He is a very funny guy, always entertaining his pals with the funniest stories. This guy is a loyal person, let me reassure you, if you tell him a secret, it will never see the light. He has really good taste in music and he loves to listen to it. Mostly important, Christophe is very kind and generous. You will never see him on a bad day, except when it’s a science exam day. When I asked my friend: «What is your favorite meal?» he answered: «General tao chicken.». I think a favorite meal tells a lot about a person, don’t you?. Anyway, I think you loose of not getting to know him better, because he is incomparable to others.

 People’s first impressions of Jade are that she is cool, outgoing and chill based on her nice style and friendly personality. People are right, Jade is a very nice person to have in your life, she will always support you, uplift you and have your back if anything happens to you. Jade has long light-brown hair, she sometimes wears glasses but the majority of the time she wears contact lenses over her hazelnut eyes. She is a fitness lover, she is also very athletic and of an average height. If you want to know Jade better you better hold on, she’s crazy ! She is always running around and making wacky jokes. She is quite a unique person and it is pretty tough to know her by just asking her questions, she lives a crazy lifestyle, you need to spend time with her to understand her better. She is always positive except when it’s a Math exam day. Her favorite meal is sushi, and I think that a meal tells a lot  about a person, don’t you? Anyway, I think that everyone should have a friend like Jade to make you laugh, support you and just be there for you.

Hi, my name is Louis-Samuel Nolin. First when people see me they think that I am tall, that I have big and thick eyebrows, that I have green eyes, that I have a lot of hair and that I look athletic but people in the street can't notice everything about me, especially not my mindset. They don't know what my life is about. I had to get through a hard time when my last living grandfather and my two grandmothers all died in a period of three years, I've dealt with bullying in the past, kids used to call me fat and made up names because I had better grades than almost everyone, I was a little fatter than other kids, they were all very skinny. It was a very sad part of my life. When puberty came in, I grew up and became tall and lost the fat I had back then, I am now in better shape than I've ever been. The moment of my life I was the happiest has to be when I went to DisneyWorld with my family in 2016, it was the best trip I've ever done. School has always been easy for me, especially mathematics, since first grade I had very good grades, I never studied and still had over 90% in almost every class. In secondary school, I started to study just a little before exams and still had great grades. I only started taking studying seriously this year, in secondary 4, because it gets a lot harder with SN maths and science are more complicated than before, secondary 4 is the most important year of secondary school, so I had to take it seriously. The only thing I fear in life is failing in what counts for me, which means family, friends, relationships and my future. There are a lot of things I wish I could go back in time to change, but life doesn't work this way, you have to deal with the pain and get over it. 

 

I like having big projects and achieving them, but what I like the most is to see the final result. For example, during two summers, I worked on building myself a motocross track. It’s finally done and I have fun there, with my friends, every summer. Also, last winter, I built myself a snow park with some rails and some jumps to ski in my front yard. Once again, I like to invite my friends and have a great time practising new tricks all together. As you can probably see, I like to do activities with people. I don’t like much staying alone at home watching television. Once in a while, it can be relaxing, but I rather go outside to do some bicycle and go skiing.

Seeing Flavie for the first time through a stranger’s point of view, you would see a tall girl with green eyes that can be compared to those of cats. She looks like a normal teenager girl with her contagious love of life and overwhelming happiness, but from the outside nobody would know her ambitions, her dreams or what she’s struggling with in her life. 

 

Throughout this year, Flavie changed a lot by finding out who she is and what she wants to be. Flavie is like a ray of sunshine, always smiling, trying to have fun with everyone but mostly she never lets down someone who is in need of help. I realized that during this school year, when I needed her to listen and to give me some advice, for she immediately understood what I was going through. She always had a strong point of view on the subjects we discussed but she never once judged me. That’s what makes her a good friend, in my humble opinion. You can always count on her to do her best to make you feel okay and to help you go through whatever even if it takes up all of her time.  But sometimes, while trying to fix everyone else’s problems, Flavie tends to forget herself and what is good for her in certain situations. Wearing one’s heart on one’s sleeve can have some pros and cons but during her secondary four, she learned how to deal with said situations. Now she chooses to put time and effort in what really matters to her and what will make her happy at the end of the day. I think this year made her realize what was important to her and to have more faith in her various life choices.

From an outsider’s view, Victoria may seem like a normal person. If somebody passed by her in the streets, they would not know about her fears, about her ambitions nor about what she carries inside of her. She seems like an ordinary girl: average height, curly blond hair that glistens when the sun shines on it, greenish eyes and a serious facial expression. But there is so much more to her than her appearance, and that you can only learn by getting to know her. Victoria must be the person I know that is most dedicated to everything she undertakes. Once she starts something, she gives all of herself to see it through. It is what I admire most about her, and what makes me look up to her as a model. She puts lots of efforts into getting good grades, into bettering herself and always being the most performant version of herself. Victoria pushes herself to accomplish her goals, which she sets rather high. With aiming at these targets comes the pressure she puts on her shoulders that can sometimes be overwhelming. I think this passed year has been good for her to learn how to juggle with everything she is and wants to be. I know Victoria is capable of great things and can’t wait for her to achieve her goals.

 

As somebody else points of view, they’ll say that I have brown hair, blue and green eyes and that I am small among my friends at school. Maybe they think that I am that guy who always break the rules and doesn’t listen to any adult because of my skater look. I am not the one who breaks the rules. In fact, I like to follow the rules (most of the time) and I always obey to any adult. If people would come and talk with me, they will see that I am 

humorous, I have a lot of talents, and I am easy to talk to. I think that the best way to know me is if we have something in commons. But it can be dumb as loving the same fruit or having the same grade in any class. It’s so easy to start a conversation with someone when you have something in commons. 

Catherine has light-chesnut-brown hair that fits well with her blue eyes. She is medium sized. Also, she sometimes wears glasses. She likes to do horseback riding and going to gym which makes her an athletic type of person. Catherine enjoy very much going to Krispy Kreme and McDo to get some McNuggets and doughnuts. When you first met her you will probably think she’s reserved and introvert. She also look like a calm type of person. However, by not going too talk to her you’ll miss the facts that she is very interesting and talkative. You are also passing by a very funny human being, and a very smart person indeed if you try to see her in the exam week, you’ll probably won't be able too because she’s exempt of almost every exams. And as we sometimes say, don’t judge a book by it’s cover because at first Catherine doesn’t seem what she really is. So just go and talk to her maybe you will even find a new friend.  

When I’m looking back, last year has brought me a lot of changes. 

 

My name is Anne-Sophie Lemieux and I am a sixteen years old. I have long straight blond hair with green eyes and fair skin. I am passionate and I enjoy life every day. What makes me happy? I love to do rides in a car. It is one of my favourite activities. With time, I learned to enjoy every little moment. The happiest moment of my day is when I come back from school and sit outside to eat my little cup of hummus. That’s one of my life’s little pleasures. Also, my house project is something I have been waiting for since the last year. Our new house is about to start being built! This is an exciting project! In addition to that, a couple of months ago, I travelled with my friend. During the trip, our friendship grew closer and stronger. My relation with this person and my other friends had changed my perception of many things. Now I see the people around me from a different point of view. When I’m around friends, I can see their different perceptions and this is why mine has changed. Those situations had changed my life for the best. I hope that it is only the beginning of other beautiful project. 

With her big brown eyes, cute dimples and contagious smile, it’s hard not to notice this short-haired brunette. If you think she’s pretty from the outside, wait until you get to know her from the inside. She is a pleasure to be around and always seem to be smiling no matter what. She is a very delighted and delicate person, rare are the times you will see her fed up. You can always count on her to put a smile on your face. Kind, caring, well-mannered and generous, she is the type of friend that everybody deserves. Her concern for a job well done leads her to be a real perfectionist. Throughout secondary four, she has always given herself at 110% in what she did, leading her to have great ambitions for her future. Her cleverness and determination in the projects she undertakes will surely take her far in life. She always has the right words to make others feel better and give the best advice, even though she doesn't always follow them herself. At the begin of the secondary, Flavie was this  more reserved and introverted person. However, in the last four years she has evolved into the sociable and opened person that she is.

First of all, his name is Renaud. I will describe him, he is not tall, a bit clumsy. He's got short brown hair and blues. Just by the look into his eyes you can see that he is curious. That's a first look of Renaud. But now I will describe him more deeply. We can see a guy with a lot of perseverance at school and other things. But what some surely don't know is that he doesn't study a lot. Furthermore we can know that this person is very curious, he always wants to know what he is not supposed to. He is also like to read book, for example a teacher gives a book, and two days after he already finish it. If we go a bit more deeply, we can finally see a guy who's cool, he takes good decision, has beautiful soul and he cares about things important. But as a secret that himself doesn't know, he is always making jokes, but they aren't really funny. Finally, by a first look we just see a guy a bit strange but more deeply we can see a good guy, that can help our society. 

This is Alexander. When you see him, you see a generous and healthy  young man. You also see a  naive and innocent boy who hasn't seen the world, ready to believe anything you say. You may also see his green eyes, his auburn hair, his smile, and his little, twig-like arms. But when you look at him you don't see this, you feel, you feel an aura of talent, of rap. But when you get to know him, you realise he may not be as weak as you may believe, you'll realise he has a strength few have : personality. When you get to know him , you may say you were right and that yes, he is a bit naive, maybe a bit dumb on the sides. But one of his two most important characteristics may be one of the most apparent : his rap talent, his rap style, his rap lifestyle. The other one is his determination, which reaches heights rarely seen amongst high-school students. No matter what kind of challenges rise up against him, wether hard or boring, he will overcome them with a smile. 

Hi! This is me, Audreyanne. From where you are, you can see that I’m a short person with curly red hair and a joyful face. I have white skin and I love the color green. I also got brown eyes and freckles. But behind this picture, there is more, I’m a strong, respectful and calm person. I like to help others when they need. I’m a perfectionist, I like when the things I’m doing are done correctly. By knowing me, people will understand that I’m autonomous and hard worker, I give my one hundred percent for everything. When I got a problem, I don’t keep it inside. I want to talk, to put this outside to feel better. I don’t take a lot of places in general, I’m shy and I don’t like to interrupt others. I like being outside, going on vacation, travelling all around the world. Having a great relation with my family and my friends is really important for me. One quick look at her, what do people see? She’s in average height for her age. They see a girl with blue eyes and green and blue glasses. They would say that her medium length brown hair has an effect on her pale skin. Humans are judged like books cover. What’s her cover? At first sight, Rachel looks shy, serious, independent but when you get to know her she is always kind. People see a calm and beautiful teenager. Patient for all what she’s doing Rachel is a helpful girl. Did you know that she played piano for nine years? Rachel stopped playing when she changed of school. That’s not surprising because she likes to have somme new around her. Even if her social skills aren’t the best, she knows how to make new friends. Her favorite school subject is history. As I get to know Rachel, I learned that she loves to travel. One of her best travels was in Italy. Could you believe that as calm as she is her favorite type of books or movies is horror? As many other girls she also likes to read classic. That’s her, Rachel!

This man on the picture is my friend, a friend that you have to bring with you. When you just look at him with a quick look he seems to be a classy guy and an ideal kid, but trust me, he is not this type of guy. He as brown mi-long hair, a little beard, he is large and he as brown hair. This 15-year-old boy is the one you want to be accompanied in party, he is not good to tell joke but he will do whatever you want to be funny. His three most important values are family, love and friends, but if we know him well we know that real friend is counted in family. He is the one you tell whatever you want and he won’t say it to anyone. He is a bad boy with a big heart.

Xavier is a young boy who has short and curly blond hair. There is practically nobody who has the same hair has him. That’s something that different him from others. He has blue eyes and he sometimes wears glasses. Xavier is about 5’7 feet tall and he is in good shape. He likes to play hockey and, his work is to give swimming lessons to kids. Physically, nobody can know he has a big personality like his. When people look or talk at Xavier for the first time, without knowing him, they may think that he always looks happy, funny and that he is really energetic. He never seems shy and he can easily talk to everyone. I think that at first people would think that this boy is always making jokes and make people laugh. What would other miss if they used only his appearance to make a judgment is that Xavier is a good person you can trust in every situation. He won’t tell anybody if something happened and he is always there for his friends. The real Xavier has a big heart and always try to be the best of him. The most important question people could ask Xavier to figure him out is what is his biggest fear. When I asked him this question, he answers that is biggest fear was me when I am in a bad mood.

When you look at Florence, the first thing you see is her eyes. Those green-blue eyes reflect her loyalty and her thoughtfulness. Spending 5 minutes with her is enough to see the brightness and the kindness in her. Florence is tall and she has long brown hair. She always puts it up in a ponytail. It shows how much she’s confident about herself. 

 

Florence has an easy-going vibe. People don’t like that because they don’t know how to deal with their problems. Florence doesn’t have that problem because she likes to « go with the flow ». I think people are kind of jealous about that quality of hers. Everybody tends to be jealous of what they don’t have, and that quality his something that makes Florence’s charm.  

 

Florence can deal with problems really fast. A lot of people miss this and they don’t even know what they are missing. When there is a problem, you can call Florence and her courage and she will deal with it and before you even know it, it will be gone. That is something that everyone should do : deal with their problems right away. Florence probably has one of the most peaceful lifestyle, and everybody is missing that. 

 

When you look at Florence, you see a normal girl, but when you know her, you see a funny, confident and intelligent person.

Marie-Ange Lehouillier

The person I’m describing is my friend Alicia. From an outside view, we can see she’s a tall girl with curly brown hair and brown eyes. She also has a good dentition and is always wearing a ponytail. Because of her tallness and her straight posture, she can seem very confident, but when we learn to know her well, we can see she has some insecurities and can be introvert. Also, at school, she is always laughing and smiling, so she looks pretty happy all the time. But Alicia is like every human: she isn’t always so content and smiley. She can get sad sometimes, but no matter what, she is always there to make her friends laugh and keep them in a good mood. Alicia is the kind of girl who loves spending time alone, but not for too long, because if she spends more than a day by herself, she starts to beg her friends to do something with her, or she will lose her mind. She loves buying shoes and sometimes she spends her money a little too fast after payday. But it's fine, that's just the way she is and we love her like this, because that's what is making Alicia, Alicia. A kind, loving human who cares about others and always supports her friends in their decisions. She is the kind of friend who's always very supportive and open-minded. Everyone need an Alicia in their lives.

The person you can see on this picture is Zachary, he has brown and hair and eyes and he is tall. When you take a quick look, you can probably observe that he is shy, can be a little lazy at times and maybe a little cold. But after getting to know him a little more I could see that he is not that shy and that you can easily talk with him, and his a very good listener. What surprised me the most about him is is ability to adapt to a situation quickly and smoothly. What he likes to do the most in his free time his to play video games which a lot of the times impedes on his study time. He can also be very level-headed. 

Zachary Doyon

Amelie is an extraordinary person. She is funny, kind, always there to listen to you and on top of that, she is a pure beauty. This blonde girl is the kind of friend you absolutely need in your life. With her, I guarantee you will laugh, but you can also have deep and long talks about life. This year, Amelie has been though a lot. But she figured to manage every obstacle that has been put through her path with brilliance. Working at Subway a normal evening, a malicious man, wanting to rob the restaurant, entered. Without thinking and before he sees her, my friend ran away by the back door and went to the closest store, who called the police. After this event, Amelie realized this doesn’t happen just is movies and to others. She is now scared to work alone, always thinking about what could have happened if she wouldn’t have escaped. This episode marked her in not a good way, but she is now working to make sure this doesn’t affect too much of her life in a negative way and that it learns her something, and not paralyzes her for life.

Élodie is a person who has a lot of qualities and a nice personality. She’s a girl who’s tall and people may not know that, but her eyes changes colour according to what she wears. Also, she has short, brown and straight hair. She also wears glasses. People can think she’s very calm but when she wants, she can be really excited and goofy. She’s always there for her friends. She takes care of them a lot. She’s a very good listener and she is trustworthy. Also, Élodie have a good sense of humour so you can have a lot fun with her. She respects everyone and help them with their problems. Family is a big priority for her. They are very important for Élodie. She is very generous and honest with everyone. Everyone needs to have a friend like Élodie because it’s sure at 100% you’ll not be disappointed. She’s a girl you can trust at any time. A girl like her is really rare because she haves so many qualities. Karianne

Britany is a natural person, she’s wearing normal clothes and no makeup.  She also has long soft brown hair and hazel eyes which is very pretty. She’s wearing earrings and an apple watch on a daily basis. Her height is normal I would say, it’s about 1,61 m. The first thing you will see about her is her smile. She’s smiling all the time. She’s a slim person, so you will probably think that she does a lot of sport. I met her in secondary 2 and 3 but we started talking and being friends since the end of summer of this year I would say. She was a shy and reserved person but since the last two years she has taken her place and now she's talking with almost everybody even if it was difficult. She has a great sense of humour, she can make jokes at anytime and anywhere, even if sometimes it's not funny everyone laughs a lot when you spent time with her.

She wears glasses. When you look closer though, you can say that she gives a look of a strong and independent woman. Some people may, while looking at her, think that she is shy, but when you really know her like I do, you can see that she isn’t has shy as you once thought. Karianne is easy-going, and funny. She is someone you can count on when you’re in need of a friend, because she is really empathetic. She can tell when you are having a bad day or being in a bad mood, and know what can cheer you up in no matter of time. She is a really good listener, so you can tell her everything.

She got one of the smile who make you feel better for the rest of the day. She one of the rare person I am sure I will pass a good time with. She makes me laugh every time she talking and adding her in my trip to New York was a decision who made my trip more fun and interesting. I like to pass time with my amazing friend Maïka! The person I am describing is Nathan, a tall man that has brown hair with blond land.  Big brown eyes and a beautiful smile. Above this smile there is a big black moustache that makes him look older. He is taller than the average of boys. 

He had big round silver glasses because he can’t see anything without it. When people see him, they may think that he is always happy because he always wears his beautiful smile, but like everybody in this world, sometimes he can have bad days too. How he looks and his personality makes him look like a really good friend from the eyes of others and actually that is true, he is 

always there for his friends and everybody need a friend like him. 

What he is wearing made him look maybe like a « bad boy » but actually he is like a little bear that you want to hug, he is such a good person.

When we look at this young girl, we can see that she has brown eyes with short dark blond hair. She isan average height person and wears glasses. She wears a lot of jewelry mainly on her hands or her neck. Based on her appearance, I would say that people might think that she is shy but when you get to know her she is a very easy-going person. She looks like someone who knows what she is doing and I would be tended to say that she is on top of her occupations. If you would judge her by her appearance and never get to know her and you would miss great things. Clarisse is a very nice person, she has a nice personally full of joy and happiness. She is a great listener, and you can trust her with your secrets. She holds on very hard to her opinions and points of view but can respect others and be open-minded at the same time. That makes her a great person to express yourself around and get into deep conversations with.

She has medium length lashes and she doesn’t wear any makeup. She has medium heart shaped lips. She has a small nose and some beauty marks on her face. She has really straight white teeth. This girl has medium length arms with a little bit of hair and beauty marks all over the place. She is 5”4. In reality, she is a really pretty girl, inside and outside. She has the biggest heart and the greatest mind you can find. She is such a good listener and a fantastic friend. The subject care so much about other people and is able the stay calm in almost every situation. I never met someone with such a beautiful philosophy all her thoughts are so intelligent. She has so much talent as an artist. Niky has a superb voice, when she signs you automatically have goosebumps. More and more time passes she is becoming a really fine woman that I want to know and love for the rest of my life.

As humans, we get into fights from time to time. Arguing isn't something I'm bad at. I know how to lead my points in my interest. Expressing myself has always been a piece of cake for me. Still, I hate fighting. I hate the way it affects people. They suddenly need their own space, while I don't. I want to find a middle ground immediately. Being mad and distant is such a waste of time for me. I don't understand why some people need time and space. In the past year, I've learned more about my opposite. 

 

 

It was getting late, around 3 am. We just ended the fifth season of our favourite TV show, American Horror Story. My boyfriend and I were tired as hell. I don't remember for what exactly, but we starting arguing. And like every fight, it started with a stupid tiny thing, and got a hundred times bigger in a glimpse of time. It was our first real fight. We were together for now about 5 months. I had never seen him angry at me. And he left me speechless. I could see in his eyes how furious he was. Yet, his voice was calm and his words respectful. From what I saw and experience, most people lose their patience and elevate their voices and tones. Not him. I was about to scream, but how could I ? How could I lose my nerve in front of someone trying to keep his calm and being patient. So I stayed calm. We went through our points and he left the room to be upstairs, alone. He told me he needed time. Time is one of my deepest demons. I wanted to explain now, I wanted this feeling of anger gone, I wanted to love you. But I gave you some time. You came back. We apologize, we talked. You had clarified your emotions and thoughts. You were ready to move on now. You kissed me. 

 

Some people needs time. They have to reflect on what happened. On what they said and did, on what was wrong. Some people needs space. So they can find solutions. So their anger can disappear. And for those who don't need any of it, we have to respect it. That's the best we can act, respect is the most powerful virtue to me. He learned to me that fighting isn't just about screaming. He showed me calm and patience are important keys into a relationship. Learning is the gift he gave me, and I had the power to change who I was to become a better person, that's the gift I made myself.

The person I’m describing is my good friend Vicky. She is a tall green-eyed girl who has 4 piercings on her ears and a big white smile who can lights up a whole room. Vic also has cute dimples when she smiles or laughs. When you don’t really know her, Vicky seems like a very shy and introvert person, but once she opens up to you, you can realize that she is more than that. Even if she has a little bit of trouble trusting people at first sight, she is a loving and generous person. Vic is always there to make the people around her happy and comfortable. She is also the kindest person I know. Vic doesn’t like being in an argument and always try to make things right to keep the peace between everyone. She has a lovely personnality and a good heart and she is the kind of friend that everyone wants.

Alicia C.

If you see her by chance for the first time, you will notice that she is not very tall but above all, you will notice her bright blue eyes. Her hair is chestnut, natural and are up to his shoulders. By wearing her pale pink and rather round glasses, you will undoubtedly make the connection with her clothes always effeminate. From an outside point of view she may seem to you to be confident but from the inside she is much more than that. With her very strong character, she is not scared of telling what she thinks. Sensitive, ambiguous, delicate and authentic, she is the happiest when she travels. A sense of freedom and change invades her when she is somewhere else in the world. One of her goals for this year was to travel and she did it by starting a trip to Scotland and England with her school. Another was more involved in her studies to get better grades and she reached it successfully, because with the difficulty of the subject under study, it was one of her best years. On the whole she is very proud of her, of her process and of her year, which is the best feeling to feel.  

Elias is a person with a great personality, a person that can sometimes make jokes, but other times be serious and attentive. If you have any problems or whatsoever, he can listen to you without making any judgement. “Generous” is probably the best quality that can define him. He never stops helping you by giving you his knowledge and experience.
