Pixel Art Challenges: Cultural Heritage in Code by Fotini Chatzipanagiotou https://padlet.com/etwinningfch/eki9ccfwl4w9ir3e As part of this eTwinning project, partner schools collaborate to create interactive pixel art activities and challenges inspired by UNESCO World Heritage Sites located in their cities or countries.Using pixel art creation tools and basic programming environments (such as Zaplycode), each student group designs a digital representation of a heritage monument and integrates it into an activity or coding challenge. These are then exchanged with partner schools, allowing students to engage with each other’s work.Through this playful exchange, students solve, expand or decode each other’s challenges, learning the foundations of programming while exploring the world’s cultural treasures. In doing so, they become more aware of the importance of preserving cultural heritage and develop their identity as active global citizens of tomorrow.
