My main takeaway from this experience was how much people can truly flourish when they are given the resources to. A lot of people come to college with very little direction, and I would like to think that in the absence of a freshman experience class, they would struggle to truly get all that UC has to offer from them. I would love to apply this to my future professional research, maybe even within my time as an undergraduate at UC! Looking into how resources, or more likely a lack thereof, can impact students professional and educational journeys would be extremely valuable as a means of figuring out ways to support all our students.
