Sang Nila Utama found Singapore in the 14 Century, nobody was there when Sang Nila Utama landed on the Island.
Source 5 tells me that Sang Nila Utama was the was the first ruler of Singapore.
Source 5 supports the point as it shows that the palaces on the hills were built by Malays.
Source 5 also tells me that before Sang Nila Utama came to Singapore, Singapore was a deserted island.
Thus,It can be observed that the history of government in Singapore did not start from 1819 , as Malay rulers ruled the island before the coming of the British.
