You can arrive by bus and can you buy the ticket at the Bucaramanga bus terminal. If you are staying at the Holidays Inn Hotel that is next to the Cacique shopping mall, you can take a taxi or go out the hotel, across the street and arrive at bus station and ask for a ride to Provenza at the bus terminal.

The way to the park is amazing. You can see mountains, rivers and a lot of nature. I recommend that you wear a hat or cap and light clothes for example, shorts, Bermudas and sneakers because in the park it is hot and sunny and we walk a lot.

The park is on the summit of the mountain. You can see the whole canyon. We are learning about history. There is a museum in the park. There are many attractions for example, you can do rappel or paragliding and others activities.

I recommend paragliding. You feel that you can fly and the landscape from above is impressive.

In the afternoon, the weather is very hot but with few cloudy. We go to eat traditional Santandereana food for example cabro with pepitoria and potatoes and for dessert you should eat ants, yes ants! Hormigas culonas are delicious. You love it.

Then we return. We are going to take cable car and across the canyon, from mountain to mountain and we arrive at the town Mesa de los santos. From Mesa de los santos to Bucaramanga is one hour. We come back to the city for other way, but we can return the next day and sleep in the town.

Mesa de los santos is a very nice and calm town but it shakes a lot. But don’t worry, it shakes every day and after you don’t feel. If it shakes strong, we should get out of the house. Don’t worry. Don’t do anything!

The weather is cold at night. We are staying in a cabin, lighting a fire, telling stories while we can see the starry sky.
