#seetobelieve
I believe looking at God and pondering his image is a form a prayer because we are marinating in the goodness of his work and his joy. We can see God's image through prayer and reflect on how he can inform our decisions and how we can join our images more closely together. Prayer, to me, is thanking God, reflecting about God or petitioning him for the needs of ourselves and others. We are reflecting on God's image and allowing his interpretation of his image to enter our minds. This prayer does not have to have words.
Silence is equally as powerful as words, and God knows the totality of our thoughts and intentions.

Is this an experience of Imago Dei?

Is this an experience of 'Imago Dei?"

If so, how.

If not, what can help us have such a wondrous experience of Gxd and our connectedness to self, others, the earth, all creatures upon it and all the universe ? (If atheist or agnostic, please respond to this prompt including the things comprising "conncectedness" that speak to you.)

#knowledgeisprayer
This is an experience of imago Dei because we are pondering his image and allowing God to reveal to us what that image is. Faith is an inherent and intrinsic knowingness, and pondering God can help us to reveal how we can express that knowingness in our daily lives.

It is always springtime

Anyone open to God can ponder God in silence in an uncomplicated way-like spring.
The sun always shines in a heart open to Gxd.
~ MsA.

What is your take away/ aha from having encountered St. John Vianney, his farmer congregant, and the silence of your Heart?
#saintsarepeopletoo
In my encounter of St. John Vianney, I have learned that we can feel God in tangible ways just by pondering his presence in our lives. Everyone can go to church or even just take time to ponder God, and this is not an activity just reserved for holy people. We can also understand the benefit in doing this, just like St. Vianney. Finding silence is very important, and allowing God to speak in the silence can be very profound. Away from the hustle and bustle of our everyday lives, we can take a moment to ponder God, and a long or complex prayer is not necessary to do this. Just like making a delicious dessert could be compromised of just a few ingredients and be equally as delicious as a very complex dessert.
