Neil Armstrong was an aerospace engineer, and is famously known for being the first person to walk on the moon

He worked for NACA, the U.S. space agency, which is now known as NASA
Before his historical moon landing, he took part in experimental test flights of new space and aircraft for NACA (NASA)
He is best known for his 1969 moon landing mission- Apollo 11. He was the first person to land on the moon, along with fellow astronaut Buzz Aldrin, and paved the way for future missions to the moon
