Chess is a game played on a special board. A chessboard is needed for this game played by two people. There are 64 squares on this chessboard. Chess pieces containing black and white pieces are arranged on the board and the game begins in this way.

How to Play Chess?

It takes two people to play chess. First of all, the stones are arranged in two rows opposite each other. In the game where there are 16 white and 1 black stones, each player's moves are made in turn. The player making his move must wait for the other player to make a move. The aim of the game is to capture the opposing side's king. To do this, you need to move the stones in your hand with their unique properties. In this way, you can win the game by defeating your opponent.

What are the Chess Game Rules?

Movement directions of chess pieces;

● Castle: Can only move horizontally and vertically by jumping squares. There is no chance of going diagonally.

● Horse: Moves only in an L shape. They have the ability to pass over stones.

● King: Can move in any direction and has the right to move only one square. If you lose the king, the other side wins the game.

● Elephant: It moves only diagonally.

● Queen: Can go both diagonally and horizontally or vertically. It is one of the most valuable stones.

● Pawn: Pawns are pieces that can move in different ways. They can go forward and straight unless there are stones in front of them. There are also cases of diagonal movement.

General rules;

● Pieces can only move according to the specified properties.

● If the king is lost, the game is over.

● Chess pieces and a chess table are needed to play chess. The game is played by two people.

● The captured stones are removed from the playing field.

● Each player has a chance to make a move in a turn.

● There is no time limit for moves. It is a game played without rushing.

Satranç taşlarının hareket yönleri;
