The last thing I read was the book My Friends by Fredrik Backman. I have loved everything I've read from this author, but this novel was by far the most moving and relatable of his work. If you've ever had those tight-knit friendships that helped inform who you are today, this book will hit you in the feels!

Hi everyone! My name is Ashley Elledge(she/her) and I am in my 4th semester of the Human Services program in New Richmond. My boyfriend and I are really into tractor pulling, whether it be farm pulls, garden tractors, or the NTPA (National Tractor Pulling Association). We spend all summer outside and every weekend at a pull somewhere! Pulling is part of my self-care plan that I have made. It is the one thing that relaxes me and calms me down. We have four cats that are basically our children. Icey, Izzy, Luna, and Shadow.

I am not much of a reader, but I am currently reading, I Support YOUth! by Sandi Lindgren. I got this book at a conference I was at in Duluth last fall. I have not had a chance to finish it yet, but it has really helped realize what road I want to go down for my career.

The picture above is from a demolition derby in Balsalm Lake. My boyfriend took first place. My boyfriend and I love participating in and watching demolition derbies all year round.

Hello my name is Roel Koehn (he/him), I am going into the nursing program. I have spent the last 10 years in the fire and ems side and decided to further my career in nursing. I couldn't find a decent picture of myself right off this morning so here is a picture of the coffee shop me and my wife own and she manages in Barron. I don't read a lot, but I do write for grant funding on the fire department I'm on, which is enjoyable to research and figure out what each grantee wants to know and figure out about your department, and to research previous calls and justify how we can use the funds we're requesting and for what specific equipment we need is.

Hello, my name is Eliza Thayer (she/her). and I am going into the nursing program. I currently am a C.N.A and this February will be 3 years in that line of work. My boyfriend and I have two dogs, Juniper and Penny, as well as a cat, Nala. Penny is a 8 month old brindle American Corgi. Juniper is a 3 year old Golden Retriever/Rottweiler mix. Nala is a stray so I am not exactly sure what breed she is. My dad had rescued her after a big dog attacked her and she was in very rough shape. She has since recovered and she is a very sassy princess.

The latest book I have read is Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros. It is a fantasy book all about dragon riders, how cool is that! I haven't finished it yet but I don't have too much to go. I have genuinely enjoyed it and I recommend it.

I currently work as a CNA which I have been doing now about for 2 years now, and I absolutely love my job and my residents!

The latest book that I have been reading, which I haven't finished yet, is The Housemaid by Freida McFadden. It's an amazing thriller that takes you through a mix of emotions, and the description sometimes makes you feel like you're really in the book! I can't wait to finish reading it so that I can go see the movie that just came out!

I am in the accounting program here at Northwood. I really like working with numbers; it feels like a big puzzle. The last book that I read was Smoky Mountain tales. This summer, I went backpacking in the Smokies with my sister, her husband, and my fiancé. The book tells stories about the tall tales of living in the mountains. Some are a little freaky. I liked to learn about the weird things that have happened in the mountains. There are some interesting stories.

I am taking Health Office Professionals Program at Rice Lake Northwood Tech.

I did factory work for several years until they closed the factory and moved to another state, so off to school I went. Starting over has been an exciting challenge, still hanging in there. I love to read several different kinds of books of different topics, depending on what I'm interested in or doing at the time. I like anything from gardening, making crafts to looking up Holistic wellness (which I find very interesting and do often) and can't forget about a good historical romance novel for those lazy days.
