Photos give perspective-taking powers by Haem Psych https://padlet.com/whitthaempsych/TransitionsPhotography This workshop was for young people with sickle cell disease, which is a condition that largely affects people from black and ethnic minority groups. The photos from this workshop aim to give visibility to this patient group allowing staff and the public to view patients with sickle cell disease from different perspectives – the ones that they themselves have chosen through their photographs. Some young people have said they like events like this because it allows them to come together knowing that they are all united through having sickle cell disease and at the same time not overly focusing on this because it is not the only thing about them – it is one part of who they are.
