Postganglionic neurons in the sympathetic chain ganglia, which run parallel to the spinal cord on each side of the vertebral column, release NE into the SNS. NE is released onto effector organs like blood arteries, the heart, and bronchioles from the chain ganglia. Both preganglionic and postganglionic neurons in the PNS emit ACh.</div>]]></description>
