I think you did really well on your ending, saying that if you need help don't be scared to ask. I understood what you were trying to get across, and your peace is really good. I also liked how you went into detail about the “smaller parts” like the fabric scratched your leg. It was more and more surprising the more I read. But in some parts I feel like you were jumping from one part to another. You said you were playing, you felt sick, you got back inside, you went to the nurse, then you were in an ambulance. You didn't go into detail on how they got you into the ambulance, of how you feels getting into an ambulance.

I really liked your detail, every little thing made me feel as though I was right there. You slayed this girly pop. I really liked your lesson that was learned, and how if you didn't ask for help maybe you wouldn’t be alive. I love this story slay. I think you could’ve added a little more metaphors.

1 thing you did well with was describing what happened. I could see the moment in time and see what was happening at that moment. Another thing you did well was describing the place. Right away I was able to tell it was a day at school and this happened on the playground. 1 thing I wish you did was add on some more inner thoughts. I think if you added more inner thoughts it could help the reader feel what you were feeling in that moment such as what was going on in your head. Besides that you did a wonderful job with your memoir!

A strength that you wrote in your memoir “Help” was the way you used detail like when you said “tapping lightly on her shoulder”. I liked that you described different things in your writing memoir to get a better idea of what things looked like for the reader. Also it gave me a good idea of what everything looked like. I could picture the playground and the nurses office because of how good your detail was. Another thing you also did really well was your ending. I liked your ending and how you said “it’s always ok to ask for help”. I thought your lesson learned fit your piece really well too. I think your end was really powerful too. I liked how you talked about how the reader shouldn’t be afraid to ask for help too. In the end I also think you got your point across to the reader. A suggestion I have for you is to use more inner thoughts. I think that if you used more in your piece the reader would get a better idea of what you were thinking at that moment.

Hi Lana! So a strength in your essay is your detail that is in your essay. Your detail helps the reader understand the story and what students go through with uniforms. Another strength in your essay is your anecdotes. They help the reader see from the pov of a child forced to wear uniforms. It helps the reader understand what students go through. Another strength in your essay is your conclusion paragraph. Your conclusion paragraph is like the perfect way to finish the essay. I wasn’t able to find any wishes in your paragraph. Alana, this piece is absolutely perfection! Bravo!

Hi Lana! A strength in your paragraph “Shared Differences” is your explanations. I think it was very good. You added lots of detail and made everything very clear for the reader. Another strength in your paragraph is your evidence. Your evidence backs up your claim very nicely. Another strength in your paragraph is your sum-up sentence. It restates the claim in a good way and ends the paragraph nicely.

Hi Lana! I loved your theme analysis paragraph! You did a really good job in incorporating the importance of accepting others and how the boy and the dog have similarities that brought them to like each other. Also, I learned a new word from your paragraph: tripedalism. I really liked how you wrote that because I feel that not many people know that word, so it will be an interesting read. A wish, however, is that you repeatedly used “disability” and “in common”, that type of stuff, to say that the boy is very annoyed that the dog has tripedalism, so I think you could change that up a little, but other than that, great essay!

Hi Alana! One thing I really liked was that you used different translations for every one. One other thing that i liked was the attention to detail like when you said “it begins to show that the boy starts to accept the dog, despite the dog's tripedalism.” One wish that i had was to make sure all spelling was correct and to have read over it again but besides that I loved it.
