Majority of the 1930s for the American people was the worst economic crisis ever. the stock market crash affect banks and everyone who invested. Banks that held onto to peoples money lost other peoples money so just about everyone was broke. there was also the dust bowl that destroyed crops for farmers so obtaining food from farms were also difficult. There were lines for food a soup for unemployed. The rate of unemployment was the highest it has ever been. Everyone was spending more money then they even had. This is a example of scarcity because the major lack of money caused people to go out of their jobs and lose a lot of resources like food, money and primary needs

In 1960 during WWI on the western front there was a new way of combat. soldiers dug out trenches as a defense tactic. These trenches that were dug were muddy and dirty that contained lots and lots of rodents. With those rodents came many diseases and the wet muddy floor caused a disease called trench foot. In these trenches when battle was not happening soldiers were very bored with minimal food and entertainment. Also while soldiers slept during the night many rodents were eating at there body parts and transporting diseases through trenches. This is a example of scarcity because the soldiers lacked resources like having minimal amounts of food, entertainment, and water. Their soul purpose was to fight on that western front and many died to diseases let alone war causes

In 2020 there was a supply chain issue (that is still going on to this day but different) which caused a huge domino effect that ended with inflation. With the world running low on energy due to COVID it caused there to be not enough supplies to be not enough containers, workers, products, stored products, truckers, and finally it let to being shortages and higher product prices. Everything was so much more expensive then before from a bag of chips to a gallon of milk all the prices raised. Gas was one of the biggest raises too. This is a example of scarcity because there was a lack of energy which led to all the shortages.
