Were his injuries made worse due to the waiting time? If the man is well enough, interview him and ask how he felt having to wait so long, was he in much pain? Speak to the ambulance driver who was on duty when the 92-year old man was hit and ask them why it took so long. Ask other ambulance drivers in Sheffield and see if there is a recurring theme, such as a lack of ambulance drivers, or a lack of ambulances. If there is an issue investigate this further. Moreover, one could perhaps talk to the person who hit the old man. Was it a hit and run or did they stay and wait for the ambulance? Lastly, talk to the councillor and ask how they know of such case and ask how the council aims to fix this problem.
