He works out of ADOT&#39;s headquarters near the state capitol in Phoenix. Mr. McCoy has devoted a lifetime of public service during his award-winning career, having also served tenures as chief of staff with the City of Surprise and communications director with the City of Glendale.

Over the course of his career, Mr. McCoy has earned a number of accolades for his innovative and diverse public relations and communications work. These accolades include Westmarc&#39;s Best of the West Award for “Glendale’s Got Game” campaign; the Governor’s Tourism Award for the best special event in Arizona (Glendale Glitters); and the Allstate National Safety Leadership Award for his “It’s Our Town, Please Slow Down!” campaign, which resulted in a 65 percent reduction in local speeding citations.</description>
