In this version of the end of the world their Earth got struck with something called Sun Flares this brought extreme heat and radiation. This heat and radiation brought half the world to crumble. This book shows how they are able to overcome these struggles and faced many hard times and dealing with deaths of their fellow friends. They devised a plan that consist of wiping away the memories of the smartest teenagers and sticking them in a maze to test their brains to see how to come up with a cure. The Death Cure establishes that they are escaping from the plans of WICKED they are helped by the one person who devised the plan in the first place and her name was Ava Paige, her position was the chancellor.
