In winters tail they found her in the beach tangled in the crab trap so they called the fish and wild life .but her tail  was coming off so they hade to make a prostatic tail for winter so she can swim agene and they hade made a gel so it sick to it but she did not like it so they kept making it intill  winter like it. Injuries that change the way things used to be can open a door to a new great possibilities in dolphin tale when winter got hurt she kept trying new tail's and Dr. McCarthy kept making the tail's for winter. So she did not have a stump for a tail. But when they got the perfect tail she was happy and she did not try to break it like she did the one that she did not like. And in dolphin tale winter overcame eating because when they tried to feed her she did not eat but when sawyer fed winter she was eating and asking for more by flipping the bottle in the air and landing it. In Winter's Tail Winter's tail flaked off & Dr. Carroll heard about Winter on the radio and wanted to help her Dr. Carroll made a prosthetic Tail for Winter when she tried is on she liked it at first site.
