2} The New York Times stance was that it is the public's right to know the decisions going on in the war at this time. While the U.S. believed that the publication of this article would be a threat to national security 
3} The Supreme Court argued that the publication of this article and keeping the public informed would not be a threat to national security and that it takes away the press right to report so they went in favor of the New York Times
4) The impact the decision in this court case held was the fact that the press has the right to report even if the facts are what the government always wants to hear. The LGBTQ community has been mistreated in society and they have never been allowed to be legally married in any state until Obama  passed the law that same sex marriage is legal. 
2.) The group of same sex couples argued that Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky and Tennessee statutes violated the Equal Protection Clause and Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment. 
3. The Supreme Court held that the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment guarantees the right to marry as one of the fundamental liberties it protects, and that analysis applies to same-sex couples in the same manner as it does to opposite-sex couples. It was a 5-4 majority.

The the school reserved 16 out 100 spots for minorities as part of their affirmative action program. Even though Bakke had much better scores than some of the minority applicants, he was rejected because the spots were reserved for minorities.  
2)Bakke: He believed the university violated the 14th amendment equal protection clause, and the Civil rights act of 1964. He was being rejected because of his race, which the 14th amendment is supposed to protect against. 
The school: Black people need to have more opportunities because in general they have an unfair disadvantage in society
3) The supreme court ruled that a school can consider race as a factor for admissions, but only if considered along with other factors on a case to case basis. 
4)Racial quotas are unconstitutional, but affirmative action programs are as long as other factors are considered.

2) They don't really reveal Johnson's views but people believed that he was wrong in burning the flag and he was wrong for doing so. 
3) The supreme court ruled that the burning of the flag was protected under the first amendment and it was Johnson's right to protest how he felt about the policies.
