My beautiful Helen,
I think the absolute world of you and admire your selfless, compassionate and loving ways. You were there for me and gave me the best advice with Dad and you supported me endlessly with my teaching career and was always on hand to give me an Ashman cuddle. We’ve made some wonderful memories over the years, like you stopping me from getting in trouble with the security guards at the Christmas parties or me spinning you around the dance floor haha and of course our lovely coffee date catch ups. I can’t begin to put into words how much of a loss you are to all the people who Have had the pleasure of knowing you but also to every child you’ve taught, every parent you’ve engaged with and the whole of society. Your an inspiration to me and many others and you were the light in a lot of peoples lives. In a small amount of time you had a profound impact on my life and I am so lucky to have met you. Your memory will live on and I will continue to share my stories and advice you have given me to others. I wouldn’t be where I am in my career without your support and knowledge and I will forever tell people what a wonderful human being you are. I love you lots and will miss you dearly .. my lovely friend Helen may you now rest until one day we will
Meet again xxxxxx

Helen, words can't describe how amazing I think you are. You helped me during my student year while I trained to be a teacher, you were always there to listen and offer advice. You were so wonderful with the children and I learnt so much from you. You then continued to support me as my NQT mentor, always there in person or on the other end of the phone. Your advice was always so measured and considerate and you made me feel so special. I wouldn't be the teacher I am today without your guidance, which you continued to offer even after you became poorly. You also became a wonderful friend to me and I loved our catch ups over cake and tea. I will never forget you, you have left a footprint on my heart and I could never thank you enough for everything you did for me. I miss you so terribly, but I hope you are at peace now - and every time I visit the zoo and see a giraffe, I will smile and look to the sky as I remember my wonderful friend. All my love, Katie P xxxx

You were simply the best friend and colleague to everyone at Langafel. You were so humble as a teacher, several Specialist Teacher’s commented that you were the most amazing, caring teaching they had ever seen. You would have hated it but Cathy Leigh wanted to film you to show others how it is done!! I was so happy when you came to work in SLIC as I knew you would be incredible. You touched the lives of so many children and the way you helped our most vulnerable children was magical. You would never see this of course! You tackled everything with humility and humour not least your cancer battle. You made us all laugh through our tears! One of my favourite memories was the SLIC children when you came in wearing your headscarf, they were unsure until one asked to see your head, you of course smiled and obliged then made everyone laugh and some of the children often not sure how to react ran and hugged you! Your ability to make everyone feel loved, safe and important will be your outstanding legacy. Sleep tight xxxx Love always, Vicky B xxxx

Helen you meant so much to so many people because of your kindness, generosity and selflessness. Having known you for most of my 24 years of teaching I can categorically say you were one of the best. Your caring nature and calm, gentle patience made you an amazing teacher who the children were blessed to have. Even more blessed were your friends though and I am honoured to be able to say I was one of them. Be at peace now lovely lady. I will treasure memories of all the times we spent together and remember your kind and positive soul forever. Love you always xxx

Helen you will be so greatly missed what a wonderful lady you were! I remember coming to Langafel many years ago and I always knew no matter what if I needed help I could always turn to you for advice, help and support if I needed it. You always had a smile on your face and was always so positive. You always saw the brighter side or funny side of anything that may have been stressful or serious. Always there to cheer anybody up and help if you could whether it be colleagues, friends and most of all the children.
You were a fantastic teacher and someone I will always admire you were a natural and made everything look so easy taking things in your stride. I loved working with you and Julie in KS1 we made a great team and had many laughs.
Living nearby each other we have shared lifts to Christmas parties and I also remember me often forgetting my memory stick and leaving it at school in my laptop. I would always call you and ask you to drop it off and not once did you say you couldn’t or that you minded dropping it round to me ( which happened a fair few times with me being forgetful) That was your way and you were always so selfless, caring and do anything for anyone.
I remember you also coming to visit me with Gemma who was not so keen on dogs but she loved meeting my dog Belle. She felt at ease with her and you were very grateful for her coming round. So much so you bought me a gift. It was an ornament of a dog looking just like Belle which was so thoughtful and kind of you. To this day it still sits in my kitchen and I will always keep this and think of you.
Helen I love you dearly and will never forget you and what a wonderful selfless person you are. Sleep tight with the angels love Cassie ❤️ xxx

You were a truly amazing colleague and friend. Loved by everyone as you were so humble, completely unaware of your brilliance and incredibly generous with your time and patience. You have made a positive change to the lives of hundreds of children and will be remembered by so many families. You also grew numerous students into teachers who will live out your memory by trying to teach in the way you did. As your boss I feel honoured to have worked with you for 9 years. Your ability to be an outstanding teacher to all in your class, train students and make their self confidence soar, smile through the toughest days, lead RE and other subjects in such a way that all staff would happily do as you asked, safe in the knowledge you would never ask them to do something you wouldn't do, astounded me but they are just a small list of your many talents. Everyone who has met you agrees you were unique, selfless, funny, incredibly hard working, patient, outstanding and you could never accept how amazing you were. When we had to choose a member of staff to be our Olympic values champion in 2012 you were the only member of staff voted for and you had over 30 votes. I will never forget the day we went to the Mick Jagger centre to collect the medal. You were convinced it was a close run vote. No other member of staff, out of nearly 60 fabulous people came close to representing the values as you did. You will be so sadly yet fondly missed and never forgotten. Sleep well. Love from Katie M xxx
