She was born into a family with 5 other children, she was the youngest, her father is Pinka's Zimetbaum and her mother, Chaya.
When she was younger, her father went blind and she became a seamstress.

She was very generous and kind to the people in the camp, and she became favored. 
She saved many lives by giving food and water to the people when she could.

Once they escaped, they were caught 12 days later on July 6th.
They were brought back to camp and sentenced to hanged.
On September 15, 1944, Edek was brought to the noose and put up, but kicked away the chair so that he killed himself, and they didn't get the satisfaction of killing him, but they didn't like that so they took him down, and redid the speaking. right before they hanged him, he said "long live Poland".
