1. The ability to settle disputes between states. 
Explanation: The ability to settle disputes between states is easily a strength because it could prevent arguments and even future war between states.
2. The ability to sign treaties and make deals with other countries. 
Explanation: Signing treaties and making deals with the foreign is also a strength because the foreign could possibly support us in times of need such as war or a depression.
3. Congress did not have absolute power over the states 
Explanation: Absolute power over the states is a very important strength because this could prevent absolute power or as called, Tyranny over the states

1. One branch of government 
Explanation: One branch of government is not a good idea because one branch is one main system and one main ruler. This is tyranny or a dictatorship. We need 3 branches because the government needs to be separate and equal.
2. No navy/army
Explanation: A navy/army is very necessary in our government because it protects our nation from foreign threats and attacks. Without it, our country would become very weak and taken over by others. 
3.  No national court system
Explanation: Without a national court system, suspects and perpetrators cannot go to higher courts because of their crimes. But, first attempts don't always succeed. The Articles did have its strengths, but it had a few more serious weaknesses. The main reason why the Articles failed was because of a lack of Central Government. If Central Government was available in the Articles, the chances of the Artciles of Confederation being a success would increase more than other weaknesses.
