I would like to know if, on a given week we are working on Knowledge for example and stopped on 1.4 the following week is now conocimiento. do we continue on lesson 1.5? or do all again from the beginning?

I think with this new Independent schedule for the 50-50 model student will get confused going back and forth with the languages. Wonder why we can't do the same as last year where we taught 1 week in Spanish and 1 week in English? The students were exposed to a 50-50 as well in a time frame of 2 weeks.

How are we grading students who are struggling during the English portion? For example, I have an L1 who has not come up through Dual Language program so she (and others) do not have the same amount of fluency as those who have come up through program since K.

SLA and ELA bulletin display color: pink and purple? Or is it another color?

Spanish & English library: Labels/Colors/categories by genre?

Anchor Charts: When creating an anchor chart on a specific skills; example: causa y efecto, do we have to create an English anchor chart on the English side of my bulletin board to support English dominant MLs? Or do I just stick with the language of each unit as far as anchor charts?

Third Period of SLA/ELA: Is it vocabulary? Is it the contrastive analysis bridging with the extension activity?

Intervention Amplify Kits: We received them 2 years ago. We have not used them yet. Will we be needing them? Are we getting that box in Spanish as well?

Wondering if the Dual Language model is upheld in other districts in Passaic County, or are we the lone flagship?

Social Studies is taught in Spanish for the first unit and then the 2nd unit will be in English- similar to ELA?

In 4th grade, Math Unit 2 starts tomorrow. That means a change in the language of instruction - starting Spanish. SS/Science will still be in Spanish. Literacy will primarily be in Spanish - there is no 50/50 here until Sept 30th if I am looking at the pacing guides with language allocations correctly.
